At the moment we are working on farm steading, eco conversion in Crossford, Fife. We are building using clay blocks, with woodfiber insulation on the outside ot the building. There are other natural materials being used such as a green oak frame and staircase made using oak grown nearby, or home grown beech floorboards. The house will be heated with ground source heat pump. The roof is mostly slated with spanish slates, but part of it will be coverd with standing seam zinc.
